Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-hire
Location: Remote, with expectation of travel (5%-25% depending on projects)
Pay Range:  $170K-200K depending on seniority and experience level + bonus.

Job Description:
Innovar Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Lead Cloud Network and System Engineer to own highly visible infrastructure projects for a growing organization. As a Sr. Lead Cloud Network and System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based network and system infrastructure using AWS, Azure, and Office 365 platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions that meet the organization's business needs.

You will be working remotely and be available to travel to different sites within the US, mostly in MST and CST time zones.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Design and deploy cloud-based network and system infrastructure using AWS, Azure, and Office 365 platforms.
  • Implement and manage virtual networks, subnets, gateways, and routing configurations within the cloud environments.
  • Configure and manage virtual machines, storage, and containers in AWS, Azure, and Office 365.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud network and system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management processes.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and policies to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system-related issues in cloud environments, working closely with internal teams and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration guidelines.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, networking, and system engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other teams, including developers, operations, and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to demonstrate 15+ years of engineering experience, along with proven skills in leading implementation projects.
  • Solid experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based network and system infrastructure, preferably in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing virtual machines, storage, and containers in AWS, Azure, and Office 365.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking services, such as Amazon VPC, Azure Virtual Network, and Office 365 Networking.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and security groups.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, or Office 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, are a plus.
