We are seeking a talented engineer to assist our client in upgrading their system from Spring 5.3 to Spring 6.2. This project involves navigating a complex Spring Security 5.8 integration, requiring advanced problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of Spring's latest features.
Position: Java Software Engineer
Type: Part-Time Contract (6 Months)
Location: Remote
Hourly: $75-$90, W2
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Java software development, with a strong focus on Spring framework.
- Proven experience upgrading Spring versions, including complex Spring Security integrations.
Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring framework (specifically upgrading from Spring 5.3 to 6.2).
- In-depth understanding of Spring Security 5.8 and its integration complexities.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Spring Upgrade and Integration:
- Lead the upgrade of Spring framework from version 5.3 to 6.2, ensuring stability and performance.
- Address complex challenges related to Spring Security 5.8 integration during the upgrade process.
Problem Solving and Debugging:
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the upgrade and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical conflicts and ensure seamless deployment.
Documentation and Best Practices:
- Document upgrade procedures, configurations, and security considerations.
- Share knowledge with the team to ensure long-term maintainability and support.
