Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, HVAC, motors, pumps, and electrical systems
- Maintain and repair pneumatic tube systems
- Handle basic carpentry tasks including flooring, walls, and window coverings
- Replace and maintain lighting fixtures and bulbs
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of mechanical rooms and work areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related field
- Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry systems
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
