Duration: 1 year contract

Hourly: $75-$85, W2

Innovar Group is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to lead site safety for a large-scale, hyperscale data center campus. This is a highly visible field leadership role supporting complex construction activity and partnering closely with project leadership, trade partners, and client stakeholders to maintain a strong, proactive safety culture.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage all site safety activities across a large, active data center construction project.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans, procedures, training, and compliance programs.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and field observations to identify and correct risks.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure safe work planning and execution.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, orientations, and incident-prevention training for field teams and trade partners.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; prepare corrective action plans and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with OSHA requirements, project safety standards, permits, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, inspections, training logs, and incident documentation.
  • Support emergency-response planning and coordinate with site leadership during safety-related events.
  • Serve as a trusted safety resource for project teams while reinforcing accountability, continuous improvement, and a zero-incident mindset.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of construction safety experience, including leadership responsibility on large, complex projects.
  • Data center, mission-critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, power, or similarly complex construction experience required.
  • Proven experience managing safety for multiple trade partners and high-volume field activity.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, incident investigation, and corrective action processes.
  • OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, ASP, or similar safety certification preferred.
  • Experience with high-risk activities such as electrical work, energized systems, crane and rigging, excavation, fall protection, confined space, and hot work.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence both field teams and senior project stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working full-time onsite in a fast-paced construction environment.
