Senior Project Manager – Data Center Construction

Location: Remote within the U.S.

Travel: Up to 75% travel to projects in Texas, Oklahoma, or Georgia

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $190,000–$230,000 base salary

Travel Expenses: Company credit card, including travel and per diem

Innovar Group is partnering with a rapidly growing data center organization to hire a Senior Project Manager. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced, well-rounded construction leader who can step into a major project immediately and lead delivery from preconstruction through turnover.

This role is ideal for a senior-level Project Manager with direct data center experience and the ability to manage complex, fast-paced hyperscale or mission-critical builds. The successful candidate will bring a broad construction background—not a niche MEP-only focus—with the ability to coordinate all aspects of project delivery.

What You'll Do

Lead large-scale data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning, closeout, and turnover.
Manage overall project execution, including schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate general contractors, trade partners, design teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Drive design and construction coordination across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes.
Review project schedules, identify risks, support recovery planning, and maintain progress toward critical milestones.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, change management, commitments, and project financial performance.
Provide strong field and project leadership while resolving issues quickly and keeping teams aligned.
Support commissioning and closeout activities, ensuring project requirements are met through handover.
Build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
Travel to assigned Texas, Oklahoma, or Georgia project sites as needed.

What You Bring

Direct data center construction experience is required.
Senior Project Manager or Senior Construction Project Manager experience on large, complex projects.
Experience leading projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
Strong general construction knowledge, including CSA scope and a practical understanding of MEP systems.
Proven ability to manage general contractors, trade partners, schedules, budgets, and project controls.
Experience with design/construction coordination, commissioning, closeout, and stakeholder management.
Background with an owner's representative, developer, or senior GC-side construction organization strongly preferred.
Experience supporting hyperscale, mission-critical, or similarly fast-paced and complex construction programs preferred.
Ability to work remotely when not traveling and lead effectively across geographically dispersed project teams.
