Senior Preconstruction Cost Manager (Global)

Innovar Group is partnering with a global data center developer seeking a Senior Preconstruction Cost Manager (Global) to lead cost planning, estimating, budgeting, and financial oversight for large-scale capital projects. This role will support North American developments while contributing to global cost-management standards and best practices.
What You'll Do
- Lead preconstruction estimating, cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for major capital projects.
- Develop and validate construction estimates, CAPEX budgets, cost models, and financial forecasts.
- Evaluate contractor pricing, procurement proposals, cost benchmarks, and value engineering opportunities.
- Support project feasibility, investment underwriting, and capital planning decisions.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, contingencies, change orders, and financial risks.
- Manage external cost consultants and provide cost analysis and recommendations to project leadership.
- Partner with development, construction, and investment teams to improve cost reporting and global cost-management practices.
What You Bring
- 7–10+ years of experience in preconstruction cost management, construction estimating, quantity surveying, or project cost controls.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital projects in data centers, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor facilities, pharmaceutical facilities, industrial construction, energy infrastructure, or similar complex construction environments.
- Strong background in conceptual estimating, construction budgeting, CAPEX forecasting, cost modeling, and contractor pricing.
- Understanding of construction methods, MEP systems, procurement, and value engineering.
- Experience working with owners, developers, general contractors, or cost consulting firms.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; Procore and Yardi Construction Manager experience preferred.
- Ability to translate complex cost data into clear financial recommendations for leadership.
