Director of Data Center Development & Customer Deployment

Innovar Group is seeking a senior construction and development leader to oversee customer deployment projects within a growing data center portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who can translate a client's technical and business requirements into a well-executed build—from early design and pricing through construction, implementation, and handoff.
What You'll Lead
- Own the delivery of customer-specific construction and deployment projects within active data center locations.
- Serve as the central point of contact among customers, sales, engineering, operations, development, design partners, and construction teams.
- Guide project scope, design coordination, pricing, approvals, schedules, budgets, vendor strategy, and implementation.
- Ensure customer objectives are aligned with internal operating requirements and delivered on time and within budget.
- Partner with development and construction leaders to manage complex buildouts, infrastructure improvements, and client implementation needs.
- Support customer solutioning during the sales process, including specialized and secure-environment opportunities.
- Build strong client relationships while driving clear communication, accountability, and resolution across multiple stakeholders.
- Manage several complex projects at once in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline; applicable professional experience and credentials will be considered.
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience developing or delivering mission-critical facilities.
- 5+ years managing construction projects for large-scale data centers, colocation providers, or similar critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of data center design, engineering, construction controls, and operational requirements.
- Proven experience managing multi-faceted projects involving customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of construction health and safety practices.
- Experience with customer deployment technologies and equipment; RCDD certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to travel as business needs require.
