Commissioning Project Specialist – CxAlloy

Location: Remote

Travel: As need to project sites in Colorado, Texas, Maryland, or Oregon.

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $110,000–$125,000 + bonus

Innovar Group is hiring a Commissioning Project Specialist for a high-growth developer delivering hyperscale, AI-focused data center campuses across the United States.

This is not simply a document-control position. We are seeking a hands-on CxAlloy and program lead who understands the commissioning process and can help teams execute it effectively from project kickoff through testing, turnover, and closeout. You will partner closely with Commissioning Managers, construction teams, engineers, commissioning agents, vendors, general contractors, and owner representatives across multiple large-scale data center builds.

What You'll Do

Serve as the CxAlloy lead and project administrator for assigned commissioning projects.
Lead CxAlloy use across internal teams, commissioning partners, contractors, and vendors—including user support, training, workflows, and best practices.
Configure and maintain project information, checklists, testing records, issues, deficiencies, dashboards, reports, and project status within CxAlloy.
Track Pre-Functional Checklists (PFCs), Functional Performance Tests (FPTs), Integrated Systems Testing (IST), deficiencies, and closeout deliverables.
Coordinate the collection, review, and completion of commissioning documentation from contractors, vendors, engineers, and commissioning agents.
Monitor testing progress, documentation deadlines, outstanding issues, and schedule impacts; communicate status to project stakeholders.
Support Commissioning Managers with testing events, project meetings, milestones, reporting, and owner-turnover requirements.
Maintain accurate, organized commissioning records and perform quality checks before submission and closeout.
Coordinate commissioning documentation within Procore, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, project correspondence, and related records.
Help develop standardized CxAlloy templates, reporting tools, documentation processes, and workflows across the commissioning program.
Support multiple active data center construction projects in Maryland, Texas, and Oregon.

What We're Looking For

Hands-on CxAlloy experience is required—including project administration, workflows, documentation, checklists, testing, issue tracking, reporting, or closeout.
Experience serving as a CxAlloy lead, SME, administrator, or power user for project teams, employees, contractors, or vendors.
3+ years of experience supporting commissioning activities in construction, industrial, commercial, mission-critical, or similar project environments.
A practical understanding of the commissioning lifecycle and how documentation supports project execution, testing, issue resolution, and turnover.
Experience tracking commissioning deliverables, deficiencies, testing activities, and closeout requirements.
Working knowledge of Procore, including document management, submittals, RFIs, drawings, and project correspondence.
Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
A collaborative, coachable approach and comfort adapting to evolving processes in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Background

Data center or other mission-critical construction experience.
Experience with MEP, controls, and other critical infrastructure systems.
Familiarity with IST, PFCs, FPTs, system-level testing, and commissioning turnover.
Experience coordinating information between CxAlloy, Procore, and other project-management platforms.
Experience developing CxAlloy templates, dashboards, workflows, or reporting tools.
