AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack)
Location: Hybrid, Denver, CO
Contract: 6 months contract-to-hire. Only seeking people who are interested in long-term, permanent positions.
Contract pay: $70–$80/hour
Compensation upon conversion: $130,000 base salary plus a 10% bonus
Innovar Group is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer for an established, growing company in the data center industry. The team is investing in AI software built in-house to solve practical challenges across its business. This is a hands-on opportunity to build applications people will use, with the stability of an established organization behind the work.
We're looking for a mid-level engineer who can take an approved business need and independently design, build, troubleshoot, and deploy a working full-stack solution. You should enjoy using AI development tools to move faster while remaining accountable for the quality and security of what you ship.
What you'll do
- Build full-stack web applications and AI-enabled features, working across the user interface, back end, APIs, data, and deployment.
- Turn business requirements into practical solutions using technologies such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Azure OpenAI, and other Azure AI services.
- Connect applications with enterprise tools and data sources, which may include Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio.
- Use tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, then review, test, and take ownership of the resulting code.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across application layers and integrations with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrate working solutions, incorporate feedback, and document what others need to maintain or extend your work.
- Communicate blockers, risks, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs early. Stay focused on approved priorities and the business outcome each solution needs to deliver.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience independently building and deploying full-stack web applications.
- Strong coding skills in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript, along with experience building APIs and integrating systems.
- Practical experience with cloud services and an interest in applying AI to real business workflows. Experience with Azure and Microsoft's AI ecosystem is especially valuable.
- Sound development habits, including version control, testing, code review, and attention to security and sensitive data.
- The ability to work through complex technical problems, adapt when priorities change, and ship working solutions.
You do not need to be an AI researcher or have worked with every tool listed above. The strongest fit is a capable software engineer who takes ownership, learns quickly, and can deliver useful AI-enabled applications.
