Senior Director, Electrical Development – Data Center Construction

Compensation: $200K-$290K base plus bonus and potential equity eligibility

Innovar Group is seeking a Senior Director of Electrical Development to lead the delivery of customer expansion projects within large-scale, mission-critical data centers. This leader will own the electrical and critical-power coordination required to turn complex customer requirements into reliable, operational infrastructure.

What You'll Lead

• Direct electrical-infrastructure and customer-deployment projects from early solutioning through design, construction, commissioning, and handoff.
• Serve as the senior connection point among customers, sales, engineering, operations, development, electrical consultants, and construction partners.
• Lead electrical scope discussions involving utility power, substations, medium-voltage distribution, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, and associated critical-power infrastructure.
• Coordinate customer requirements with data center capacity, design standards, construction sequencing, budgets, schedules, and operational readiness.
• Guide design reviews, pricing, approvals, procurement, contractor strategy, change management, and field implementation for complex electrical scope.
• Partner with development and construction project leaders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support technical customer discussions, including specialized and secure-environment deployments.
• Build strong client relationships and drive accountability across several large, concurrent projects.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or professional credentials in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience delivering mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years leading electrical or critical-power construction scope for large-scale data centers, colocation providers, or similar high-availability environments.
• Strong working knowledge of data center electrical design, critical power, and construction delivery.
• Experience managing the integration of utility, electrical, mechanical, controls, and operational teams.
• Proven experience managing complex projects involving customers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of construction health and safety practices.
• Strong communication, decision-making, organization, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to travel as business needs require.

Preferred Experience

• Hyperscale or colocation data center development.
• Medium-voltage systems, substations, generators, UPS, switchgear, and electrical distribution.
• Electrical commissioning, integrated systems testing, and operational turnover.
• Customer deployment technologies and equipment; RCDD certification is a plus.
