Data Warehousing is the process of reporting and analyzing data on a database. A Data Warehouse is the central place/location of where data is stored. In data warehousing, a person is responsible for overseeing that data is uploaded from one system to another, and then integrated properly. A person in data warehousing is also responsible for reporting and analyzing the data. In essence, data warehousing simplifies the data process, allowing for data to be found on one database.

You need to have a strong attention to detail, and be able to work with multiple databases and platforms. A degree in computer science or similar is usually required.
