Product Owner

Job Title: Product Owner – Utilities Industry (6-Month Contract with option to convert to full-time)
Location: 100% Remote
Hourly Rate: $65 – $75 (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and goals for software customization within the Utilities Industry.
– Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of priorities.
– Utilize Agile and Scrum methodologies to support and guide development teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
– Apply a user-centered design approach to product development, ensuring solutions meet the needs and expectations of end-users.
– Prioritize features and tasks effectively based on business value and user feedback.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and QA analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
– Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices, contributing insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.
– Ensure adherence to design quality standards and regulatory requirements within the Utilities Industry.
– Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing product backlogs, sprint planning, and release cycles.
– Proactively identify and address risks and impediments to project success, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
– Cultivate a collaborative and innovative team culture, fostering continuous improvement and learning within the organization.

Qualifications:
– 5+ years of experience supporting Software Development teams as a Product Owner or similar role.
– Previous experience in the Utilities Industry is highly preferred.
– Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
– Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering value to end-users.
– Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
– Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
– Familiarity with user-centered design principles and usability testing methodologies.
– Demonstrated commitment to quality, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
– Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
