Your resume has passed the test, congratulations! Now is your time to ace the interview. We know this can be a stressful part of the job application process, but if you take the tips below to heart, and practice the "art of interviewing," you will arrive feeling cool, calm, and collected.
Review the job, company, and who will be interviewing you. Be sure you know your resume, and be able to explain your qualifications in a clear and concise manner. (Contact our Recruiters to get a copy of common interview questions).
Always research the company culture before going to an interview. What is their dress policy? You don't want to show up in a suit if they have a casual dress code policy, (and vice versa). You do, however, want to dress the part. Make sure your clothes are wrinkle and stain free, and stay away from perfume or cologne. Don't forget about that smile!
If you are honest about who you are, then your true, genuine qualities will shine. Just remember, you will most likely be in this job for a while. Why not show your personality to your future supervisor and co-workers during the interview.
Be sure to get the names and contact information of everyone that interviews you. If possible, write each of them a handwritten thank you note for taking the time to interview you.
